My Research & Projects

Here is a list of some research papers, posters and presentations that I have worked on.

Neuroengineering - Epigenetic Approaches to Enhance EAAT2 Expression in ALS: This research presentation won 2nd prize in iStart Valley Nuroscience Research:

Summary: Explores how CRISPRa-based neuroengineering can epigenetically enhance EAAT2 gene expression in astrocytes to reduce glutamate-induced excitotoxicity in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). It proposes using dCas9 fused with p300 (for histone acetylation) and dCas9-TET (for DNA demethylation) to upregulate EAAT2, potentially slowing neuronal degeneration and disease progression

GHP Research presentation -  Biotechnology innovations - using snake venom for treating neurological disorders :

Summary: Explores how biotechnology can make snake-venom-derived drugs affordable and accessible for treating major diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer. It proposes recombinant protein production, RNA interference, and CRISPR gene editing to enable scalable, ethical, and cost-effective venom-based therapeutics

AP Seminar research paper: Regulating Online Food Delivery for Better Public Health Outcomes

Summary: This paper examines how food delivery services contribute to unhealthy eating habits and rising obesity rates worldwide. It proposes implementing nutrition labeling, healthy defaults, marketing regulations, and global policy collaboration to align these platforms with public health and sustainability goals.

Tallulah Falls podcast: Our first year Student Leadership of Johns Creek capstone project, funded by the Library of Congress - explores history and culture of Tallulah Falls - a scenic local site with rich history and cultural story.
